Read my Bright Red Lips - Contest!


Lately I have been jonesing for a change. A few weeks ago a died my hair a bright color of red - quite a change for normally conservative me. While my neutral lip glosses and coral lipsticks are comfortable and pretty, I need something that really pops with my new hair. After seeing a slew of celebrities don bright red lips at Fashion Week I was inspired.

Being as I don't own any red lipstick, I need your help! I am looking for quality, long lasting lip color. What is your favorite brand/color of red lipstick? Leave a comment with your answer. I will randomly choose one response to win a $10 Ulta gift card!

    I love the CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain in 440, Wildberry Wink. It is very red, lasts for a long time and isn't as thick as lipstick so I find it a bit easier to wear regularly.

    I really like Lancome's L'Absolu Rouge in Absolute Rouge. It's the truest red I've come by and I love how I can layer it for a sheerer or deeper effect. You HAVE to have a red lippie!!! :)

    I've always loved Lancomes lipsticks. L'Absolu Rouge in Smokey Rouge is my favorite. Its uber silky and lasts a long time. I also like it because it is a good color for my pale skin!

    I only wear red when I want to spice things up a bit or for a night out dancing and having fun. It's a great way to easily & quickly do something different. These are the shades that I love and alternate between when I do wear red:

    i like to wear NARS lipstick in red lizard & then layer NARS lipgloss in bloodwork over it. the lipstick is long lasting by itself but adding the gloss helps it stay longer & adds that extra special oomph of delish shine.
